Costa Teguise is located on the eastern side of Lanzarote, close to the capital and only 15–20 minutes by car from the airport. It is an ideal location for couples or families with its golden beaches, beachfront cafes, bars, restaurants and the seafront promenade.
In the main Square “Pueblo Marinero” live music is often performed in the bandstand in the evenings and there is a wide choice of restaurants and bars both in the square and surrounding area. On Friday night they hold a market that includes local artisan stalls, perfect for souvenirs.
The largest beach is Playa Las Cucharas, where for the beginners or professionals there is a windsurfing academy. The qualifiers for the PWA Windsurfing World Championships are help here in June. Bastian Beach is ideal for families with small children since it is easily accessible and protected from the winds. Although smaller than the others, the fine white sandy beach of Jablillo is also worth a visit.
The resort is home to a large aquarium which is reported to be the biggest in the Canary Islands, and which has an underwater viewing tunnel so you can get up close to the sharks. Also on the outskirts is a large water park providing a splash filled day for children and adults alike. Nearby you will also find the 18-hole golf course with its clubhouse, a pro shop and equipment hire for holiday villa guests.
